The Ministry of Interior and National Administration said that more than 30 counties have experienced flooding and other hazards associated with heavy rains, leaving communities in distress and critical infrastructure severely affected.

"Nairobi has the highest number of deaths at 37, followed by the Eastern region with 26 and the Rift Valley region with 14, among others," the ministry said in a statement issued Sunday in Nairobi, the Kenyan capital.
