UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer risked infuriating US President Donald Trump once again as he told a crowd the Iran conflict was "not our war" while launching his local election campaign in Wolverhampton on Monday. Trump has repeatedly condemned NATO allies and Starmer in particular for failing to assist him. In response to Germany also saying Iran was "not our war," Trump and his Secretary of State Marco Rubio said Ukraine was not "their war" but they had assisted in it. The UK local elections take place on May 7, with over 4,800 seats across 134 local authorities in England up for grabs – plus general elections in the Scottish Parliament and Welsh Assembly.
