An article by Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, on establishing and practicing a correct understanding of governance performance will be published on Wednesday.

The article by Xi, also Chinese president and chairman of the Central Military Commission, will be published in this year's seventh issue of the Qiushi Journal, a flagship magazine of the CPC Central Committee.

Titled "Establishing and Practicing a Correct Understanding of Governance Performance," the article is a collection of excerpts of Xi's important discourses on the issue made between December 2012 and February 2026.
