According to the divination inscriptions on the oracle bones, the son of Fu Hao and King Wu Ding was required to study various skills daily, including rituals, music, archery, charioteering, calligraphy and mathematics. Among the unearthed relics from the Yin Ruins are a large number of musical instruments, horse harnesses, arrowheads, and a jade she (archery thumb ring) worn to protect the fingers during archery.
