Using AI-generated imagery, the first episode of Ever Onwards tells the story of a backpacker who, just as Qingming Festival is approaching, chances upon a monument that commemorates a truly epic journey, The Long March. Moved and inspired, a vision of heroism and sacrifice unfolds before him, one that poses as many questions as it answers. Intrigued, he opts to change course and follow the route of the Long March in order to follow in the footsteps of those heroes and witness history with his own eyes.
