Two rare impressed tortoises, an endangered species, were found near the roadside in Pu'er, Yunnan Province. The impressed tortoise typically lives in tropical and subtropical mountain forests. Recent heavy rains may have pushed the tortoises out of their usual habitat. Wildlife rescuers are now conducting health checks. If they are fit for the wild, the tortoises will be released back into suitable habitat.
