Once a nearly deserted lane of Reystan Street in Kuqa's old town, the neighborhood has been revived since a 2023 restoration project. Now home to 287 shops and 386 photo spots, the renovated area supports over 2,000 tourism workers and benefits more than 20,000 residents. Over 120 newcomers have settled here, opening cafés, guesthouses, and studios. By transforming Kuqa's old town from worn alleyways into a thriving cultural destination, heritage preservation serves as a living foundation that builds a future for both residents and newcomers.
