'If there's a negotiation, Iranians want to make sure it's decisive'

In an interview with CGTN host Xu Qinduo, Ross Harrison, senior fellow from the Middle East Institute, stressed that Iranians are not going to negotiate "under threat," adding that they will negotiate sincerely only when clear de-escalatory rhetoric and military signals come out of Washington and the negotiation is decisive. They want to make sure of two things: that they "survive" and "recreate deterrence," said Harrison.
