Iran said attacks by the United States and Israel have caused extensive damage to civilian infrastructure, cultural facilities and public services across the country, with government and relief officials accusing the attackers of targeting non‑military sites.

Iranian government spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani said on Sunday that more than 105,000 civilian buildings had been damaged since the conflict began, including 83,351 residential units and 39,508 mixed-use residential and commercial buildings in Tehran, according to Mehr News.

She said the damage also extended to public service and cultural sectors, with 322 medical centers, 763 schools and 55 libraries across 12 provinces affected.

Mohajerani said some of the strikes had targeted symbols of Iran's scientific and industrial development, including the B-1 bridge and key research facilities at Shahid Beheshti University, including its laser and plasma laboratory. She also cited the attack on the Mahshahr Special Petrochemical Zone as an example of damage to industrial facilities, saying the strike killed five people and injured 170 others.

She further condemned the attack on Delaram Sina Psychiatric Hospital, saying strikes on medical institutions, especially places where psychiatric patients live and rest, constitute a clear war crime.

According to the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS), the attacks have also damaged 22,810 commercial facilities, 18 scientific and university institutions, and 20 Red Crescent centers. Emergency response equipment, including three helicopters, 46 ambulances and 48 operational vehicles, was also damaged.

The IRCS said the attacks had killed four Red Crescent relief workers and two pregnant women, while injuring 18 emergency responders. Among medical personnel, 24 deaths and 116 injuries had been recorded.

It added that the strikes had also caused damage to petrochemical facilities in Khuzestan Province, the Shalamcheh border crossing and residential buildings.
