China ended their group-stage campaign at the 2026 AFC U20 Women's Asian Cup with a decisive 1-0 win over hosts Thailand at Thammasat Stadium on Tuesday, finishing at the top of Group A and securing a spot in the quarterfinals.

Dominating possession for significant portions of the first half, China broke the stalemate in the 29th minute when midfielder Xiao Yafei unleashed a stunning long-range strike, giving her side a 1-0 lead at the half.

The second half saw Thailand increase their attacking intensity, creating several opportunities through improved midfield pressing and effective combination play. However, they were unable to find the back of the net, leaving China to hold onto their narrow lead.

This victory not only extended China's unbeaten streak in the group stage but also propelled them into the knockout round. They will face the third-place finisher from Group B or Group C on Saturday, as they aim to continue their pursuit of championship glory.
