UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has welcomed the announcement of a two-week ceasefire between the United States and Iran. In a statement, Guterres called on all parties involved in the Middle East conflict to abide by international law and uphold the terms of the agreement with the aim of paving the way for comprehensive peace in the region.
