- US President Donald Trump said on Tuesday he has agreed to suspend attacks Iran for two weeks, accepting a 14-day truce proposal from mediators.

- Trump said on social media that his decision is subject to Iran ensuring the complete, immediate and safe opening of the Strait of Hormuz. "We received a 10-point proposal from Iran and believe it is a workable basis on which to negotiate," he said.

- Iran's Supreme Security Council said on Wednesday that Iran has accepted Pakistan's two-week truce proposal and that negotiations with the United States would begin on April 10 in Islamabad after submitting a 10-point proposal via Pakistan.

- Iran said it would halt its attacks if strikes against it stop, adding that safe transit through the Strait of Hormuz would be ensured for two weeks in coordination with Iranian armed forces, according to a statement by Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on Wednesday.

- A White House official said a ceasefire in the Iran war will come into effect when Tehran opens the Strait of Hormuz, Axios reported on Tuesday.
