At the ISSF Rifle and Pistol Shooting World Cup in Granada, Spain, reigning world champions Wang Zifei and Sheng Lihao set a triumphant tone for the season by clinching the 10m air rifle mixed team title. The pair, along with World Cup newcomers Zhang Qianying and Ma Sihan, advanced to the finals in second and fourth place, respectively.

The final unfolded as a tightly contested affair, with Wang and Sheng recovering from a sluggish start to establish a narrow 0.3-point lead over Hungary's Eszter Denes and Istvan Marton Peni before entering the elimination stage. However, with just three shots remaining, the Chinese duo found themselves trailing by the same margin.

In a moment of brilliance, two-time Olympic champion Sheng delivered a crucial 10.9, combining with Wang's steady marksmanship to regain the lead. Ultimately, they sealed their victory with a total of 504.3 points, outpacing Denes and Peni, who finished with 502.9.

Earlier, in the 10m air pistol mixed team event, reigning world champions Yao Qianxun and Hu Kai secured a silver medal with a score of 484.8 points, while India's Palak Palak and Mukesh Nelavalli crowned themselves champions.
