Recently, infrared cameras in the Yanchiwan National Nature Reserve in Gansu Province recorded a rare sight: three snow leopards captured in the same frame.

As snow leopards are typically solitary animals – except during mating seasons or when a mother is caring for her cubs – the sight of three snow leopards together is extremely rare.
