Labor Party of Taiwan backs KMT delegation's visit to mainland

Closer ties, not confrontation. A political figure from Taiwan is voicing support for the Chinese Kuomintang (KMT) party's visit to the mainland, describing it as a step toward easing tensions and promoting peaceful engagement.

Hsu Meng-hsiang, deputy secretary general of the Labor Party of Taiwan, said the visit reflects continued momentum for cross-Strait exchanges despite political headwinds. He stressed that closer interaction across the Taiwan Strait is in the interest of ordinary people.
