Two of the world's most influential medical institutions – Mayo Clinic, consistently ranked the top hospital in the United States and globally, and Cleveland Clinic, the top-ranked heart hospital in the US – have recently sent leading expert teams to China's Tongji Hospital in Wuhan for in-depth study and hands-on training on a pioneering heart surgery developed there. Following their visit, the two institutions jointly announced plans to begin clinical validation of this innovative procedure in the United States.
