In late March, a humanoid robot showed up out of nowhere, dressed in human clothes, and started grooving to a beat at a park in Haikou. It was smooth, playful, and totally unexpected. The robot's flexible joints and slick moves turned the park into a futuristic stage, stopping locals and tourists in their tracks – phones out, jaws dropped.
