An exchange event which brought together 20 young participants from the United States and China concluded in Shanghai on Wednesday, with many hailing the program as an opportunity to deepen relationships and gain a broader understanding of traditional Chinese culture and modern China's development.

Dubbed "A Shared Voyage: China-US Youth Friendship Program," the people-to-people exchange event got underway two weeks ago when participants departed Hong Kong's Kai Tak Cruise Terminal aboard the research vessel China-US Youth Friendship (OceanXplorer).
