At Shengjin Lake National Nature Reserve in east China's Anhui Province, tech is helping protect migrating birds. Rangers use drones, AI bird-recognition systems and smart monitoring platforms to track flocks and safeguard habitats as birds begin their spring migration north. The lake hosts 170+ species and around 100,000 migratory birds each year, including cranes and the Oriental stork.
