Following a conditional two-week ceasefire between Iran and the US, Tehran University professor Seyed Mohammad Marandi argues that the US moved from demanding "total surrender" to accepting Iran's framework after 40 days of conflict and resilience from the Iranian people. While many in Iran welcome the pause, Marandi warns: "This will not be smooth sailing." He goes on to stress that Iran is preparing for renewed conflict, will not cooperate with the US in the Strait of Hormuz, and will never give up its nuclear enrichment.
