A family of four found themselves trapped on the third-floor windowsill when a fire broke out in a residential building in Hohhot, north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, on April 4. An officer with the Armed Police Force, enjoying a day off at home, leapt into action, scaled the front of the building barehanded and, together with other residents, rescued all four.
