Hainan's Yangpu Port handled 983,700 TEUs of containers in the first quarter of 2026, a 94.37% year-on-year increase, said Yangpu Transport and Port Authority. The growth of foreign trade container throughput was especially remarkable, with a 199% year-on-year growth, marking a strong start for the port's operations in the first quarter.
As a key logistics hub and gateway for the Hainan Free Trade Port, Yangpu Port plays a vital role in the region's opening-up. The port currently operates 65 domestic and international shipping routes, creating a seamless international shipping network.
