Russia, Ukraine accuse each other of violating Easter truce

The Ukrainian armed forces have violated the Easter ceasefire 1,971 times since Saturday, when an Easter truce was agreed until 8 a.m. local time on Sunday, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Sunday.

Ukraine's ​military said ‌that Russian forces have ‌broken ‌the Easter ‌ceasefire 2,299 times since ‌4 p.m. on Saturday, adding that the ceasefire breaches included 479 instances of shelling ​and ​more ‌than 1,700 drone strikes.

All troops in the Special Military Operation zone have strictly observed the ceasefire regime from 4 p.m. Moscow time on April 11, Tass news agency reported, citing the defense ministry.
