With a history of more than 100 years, Haikou's Qilou Old Street is where Eastern and Western design meet. The film The Day We Lit Up the Sky brings some of its most energetic scenes to life set against the backdrop of Qilou. Faded shutters, carved columns and old shopfronts – every corner feels like a film still.
