On April 13, Finnish President Alexander Stubb, during his visit to the United States, stated at a think tank event that Iran currently "holds a lot of cards" in the military conflict involving the US, Israel and Iran. He suggested that the current situation is the result of a "war of choice" initiated by the United States and Israel. Stubb remarked that the Strait of Hormuz has effectively become a "de facto nuclear weapon."
