Could Yemen's Houthis join response to US blockade of Hormuz Strait?

After the United States imposed a naval blockade on Iranian ports in the Strait of Hormuz, uncertainty remains over the response of Yemen's Houthi-led authorities. Could they block a second key waterway – the Bab al-Mandab Strait – in response?

Mohammed Taher Anam, an advisor to Yemen's Houthi Supreme Political Council, told CGTN that "if the Americans and Israelis cross red lines" and "if we find that the situation in Iran or Lebanon requires it, our hands are on the trigger, and we are ready to use any option at any time."
