Bloomberg opinion columnist: Faced with the energy crisis, many countries are following China's example

In a recent interview, Bloomberg opinion columnist David Fickling stated that China has offered effective solutions to cut oil import spending and control pollution. By regulating gasoline-powered two-wheelers, China has reduced both oil costs and pollution, making cities such as Guangzhou and Shanghai much quieter. He added that China's gasoline two-wheeler market has contracted significantly over the past decade, with countries including Vietnam and India now considering similar measures. Fickling also argued that adjustments in incentive policies will help accelerate the transition to electrification.
