The Chinese mainland on April 12 rolled out a package of 10 policies and measures – spanning inter-party communication, infrastructure, travel, trade and culture – aimed at enhancing exchanges and cooperation with China's Taiwan region.
To boost cultural ties, the mainland will allow qualified TV shows, documentaries and animations from Taiwan to be aired. Additionally, the mainland will move to resume regular direct passenger flights across the strait, including routes to and from Urumqi, Xi'an, Harbin, Kunming and Lanzhou.
CGTN Stringer hit the streets of Taipei to ask residents what movies, TV dramas or songs they would recommend to people in the mainland and which city across the strait they would most want to visit if possible. Click this video to check it out!
