General Secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Chinese President Xi Jinping and General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and Vietnamese President To Lam met with youth representatives from the two countries participating in the "Red Study Tours" on Wednesday.

Launched in May 2025, the "Red Study Tours" initiative seeks to facilitate exchanges between young people in China and Vietnam. From May 2025 to March 2026, eight themed camps across 10 provincial-level regions in China were organized under the initiative, providing more than 1,000 Vietnamese youths with the opportunity to experience China firsthand.

Young people are a vital force driving social development and progress, and are also the successors who will carry forward the causes of the two parties and the two countries, Xi said.

Xi urged them to strive to be pioneers in building a community with a shared future for humanity and to contribute youthful strength to the cause of human progress.

To Lam expressed hope that young people from both countries will deepen their understanding of Vietnam-China relations and play an important role in the development of their respective countries and in strengthening friendship between the two countries.
