Artisans in Isfahan say nearby strikes have left them fearing the future of the city's historic landmarks.

The blasts affected nearby Safavid-era sites, with shockwaves damaging detailed architecture and interiors. For many locals, even small cracks in monuments that have stood for hundreds of years are very upsetting.

UNESCO has expressed concerns about the increasing risk to cultural heritage in Iran, warning that ongoing conflict could cause long-term damage to sites of global significance.
