Russian forces launched a large-scale strike with precision-guided weapons and unmanned aerial vehicles over the past 24 hours, targeting Ukraine's military-industrial complex and fuel and energy infrastructure used by Ukrainian armed forces, Russian news agency TASS reported on Thursday, citing the Russian Defense Ministry.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian side claimed that residents and civilian facilities had suffered severe damage from Russia's attack on Thursday, saying the attack killed at least 16 people and injured scores, according to a Euronews report.

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine said via Telegram that Russian forces had struck a high-rise residential building.

Several other residential buildings, port infrastructure, and warehouses also sustained damage due to the attack, it said.
