In Wangmo County, Guizhou Province, preparations are underway for the upcoming Sanyuesan festival, the third day of the third month on traditional Chinese calendar, a traditional celebration observed by several ethnic groups in southern China, including Buyi people.

Villagers in Xintun Buyi Village were busy making pillow-shaped zongba, a local sticky rice delicacy that is often prepared for family gatherings and festive occasions. The atmosphere in the village is filled with activity, tradition and anticipation for the days ahead.
