Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister Antonio Tajani in Beijing on Thursday, with both sides pledging to deepen their comprehensive strategic partnership.

Wang Yi called for maintaining high-level exchanges and enhancing mutual trust. He said both countries cherish peace and support multilateralism. Tajani reaffirmed Italy's commitment to the one-China principle and expressed readiness to implement an action plan for bilateral cooperation. The two sides also exchanged views on the Middle East and the Ukraine crisis.
