The organizers of the 2026 Sanya Asian Beach Games launched trial operations at the Main Media Center (MMC) on Thursday, marking a key step in the final preparations, ahead of the competition's official start in south China's Hainan Province on April 22.
The MMC integrates the Main Press Center (MPC), International Broadcast Center (IBC) and media hotel into a single complex, with the aim of streamlining operations, improving efficiency and supporting sustainable event management.
The facility is divided into two primary zones to serve accredited journalists and international broadcasters, providing comprehensive support for both reporting and production.
Equipped with press conference halls, workspaces, broadcast control rooms and studios, the compound is designed to cover the full media workflow, from arrival and accreditation to content production and signal distribution.
During the sixth edition of the Asian Beach Games, accredited media will have access to multilingual services, interview coordination, high-speed internet, catering and transportation support.
Organizers said the setup is intended to ensure smooth and efficient coverage for media outlets from across the continent.
