Pakistan is intensifying diplomatic efforts as a potential second round of US-Iran negotiations looms following an initial round in Islamabad that failed to produce an agreement.

On Wednesday, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif led a delegation to Saudi Arabia, with subsequent visits planned to Qatar and Türkiye. The moves are aimed at facilitating continued dialogue on the Middle East conflict.

Asif Durrani, former Pakistani ambassador to Iran, said Pakistan's mediation efforts had played a positive role in maintaining US-Iran dialogue. "We still hope that before that deadline arrives, a solution is found out in the forthcoming talks," he said, noting that negotiations are likely to continue.
