This spring, north China's Liaodong Bay saw a record return of over 800 wild spotted seals after the winter breeding season, coinciding with National Spotted Seal Protection Day on April 16. Their growing population in this southernmost breeding region is the result of ecological resilience and strong conservation efforts.
