New direct shipping route links Tianjin Port with South Africa

A new direct maritime route from Tianjin Port to South Africa has been launched, adding momentum to foreign trade in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.

The service deploys 12 vessels of 140,000 tonnes each, operating weekly and linking Tianjin with the South African ports of Ngqura and Durban. The shortest transit time is about 40 days, improving efficiency and connectivity between China and Africa.
