A Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson on Monday called on all parties concerned to provide the necessary conditions for the restoration of normal passage through the Strait of Hormuz.
Spokesperson Guo Jiakun made the remarks during a regular press briefing in response to a related query.
Noting that the situation in the Strait of Hormuz remains sensitive and complex, Guo expressed concerns over the US forced interception of the relevant vessels.
"We hope all parties concerned will abide by the ceasefire agreement in a responsible manner, and avoid escalating conflicts and increasing tensions," he said.
