The ancient town of Qingyan in Guiyang, southwest China's Guizhou Province, has a history of over 600 years. It is one of the filming locations of The Missing Gun, a 2002 Chinese black comedy directed by Lu Chuan and starring Jiang Wen, Ning Jing and Wu Yujuan.

The story follows Ma Shan, a small-town policeman who wakes up one morning to find his gun missing. As he searches for it, a murder takes place, pulling him into a web of suspicion where he becomes a suspect himself.

Stone-paved roads, ancient walls and winding alleys bring the film to life. A once-overlooked back street has since gained renewed attention after appearing in the movie. From screen to reality, follow the film and discover the beauty of China.
