Reuniting families with martyrs of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea

Between 2014 and 2025, the remains of 1,011 Chinese People's Volunteers martyrs stationed in South Korea have been returned home in 12 grand, honorable repatriation missions and laid to rest at the Martyrs Cemetery in Shenyang. This April 22, China will bring back the remains of 12 more CPV martyrs from the Republic of Korea, marking the 13th such repatriation operation.

More than seven decades after sacrificing their lives in the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, a young CPV martyr has finally been reunited with his family. The long-awaited reunion comes through a hand-painted portrait, crafted with heartfelt memories and deep reverence. CGTN shares this touching story.
