US Central Command released a video on Monday showing marines rappelling onto and seizing an Iranian-flagged cargo ship that allegedly tried to break the US blockade near the Strait of Hormuz.

The US Navy intercepted and disabled the cargo ship en route to Bandar Abbas, Iran on Sunday, according to CENTCOM.

Tensions between the US and Iran are reaching a new breaking point following the incident, as the fragile two-week ceasefire is set to conclude with little progress on peace. Iran has condemned the US attack, denying breaking the ceasefire agreement, with the Foreign Ministry saying the US has shown it is not serious about the diplomatic process.
