China has urged all relevant parties to avoid the resumption of hostilities, following the United States' announcement to extend the ceasefire period with Iran, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said on Wednesday.

Guo made the remarks at a regular press briefing in response to a question regarding the US decision to extend the ceasefire with Iran and the current situation in the region.
