World's first 'super AI hospital' reshapes care delivery

Using smart sensors to detect falls and warn of heart attacks; tracking the latest medical devices and drugs worldwide so the right treatment can find the right patient; cutting the time for an initial assessment from days to just 1-5 minutes. This is not science fiction, but a "super AI hospital" already up and running in south China's Hainan.

Supra, short for SupMed and also known as "Chao Chao," serves as the "precision discovery" engine for the world's first "super AI hospital's" online platform.

Zhang Bangqun, general manager of the "super AI hospital" in Boao, said the hospital's app platform has been downloaded over 10 million times. It supports multiple languages and operates a four-tier safety guarantee system. First, medical data is anonymized and encrypted to ensure traceability and prevent leaks. Second, personalized health management plans are generated based on clinical guidelines and real-world evidence. Third, all AI-generated recommendations are reviewed and confirmed by licensed physicians to avoid algorithmic bias. Fourth, the system provides clear risk alerts and contraindications.
