Bayern Munich advanced to the DFB-Pokal final with a 2-0 win over Bayer Leverkusen on Wednesday, as Harry Kane and Luis Diaz found the net to keep the club's treble hopes alive.

Kane opened the scoring in the 22nd minute at the BayArena, finishing off a quick move initiated from a throw-in, while Diaz sealed the result deep into stoppage time after a VAR check overturned an offside call.

The victory sent Bayern into their first German Cup title match since 2020, when they beat Leverkusen to complete a domestic double. The Bavarians will face either Stuttgart or Freiburg in the final at Berlin's Olympiastadion on May 23.

"I've missed Berlin," goalkeeper Manuel Neuer said after a game in which he was largely untested until producing a crucial late save to deny Nathan Tella.

Bayern controlled the contest from the outset, dominating possession and registering 10 shots in the first half alone, while Leverkusen failed to come up with a single attempt before the break.

Kane's opener came after Jamal Musiala drove forward and delivered a cross that Diaz smartly left alone, allowing the England striker to lift his finish under the crossbar for his 52nd goal of the season in all competitions.

Leverkusen improved after halftime, but struggled to break through, with Neuer's fingertip save preserving Bayern's lead.

Diaz eventually wrapped up the win on a counterattack, initially denied by the assistant referee's flag before VAR confirmed he was onside and jumpstarted Bayern's celebrations.

Fresh off clinching the Bundesliga title, Bayern remain on course for a treble, with a UEFA Champions League semifinal clash against Paris Saint-Germain looming next week.
