US President Donald Trump on Wednesday said there is "no time frame" for ending the war with Iran, while the White House says he has not set a new deadline for an extended ceasefire.
Iran's parliamentary speaker insisted that a full ceasefire depends on the lifting of maritime blockades. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said Tehran wants "dialogue and agreement" but "breach of commitments, blockade and threats are the main obstacles to genuine negotiations."
On Wednesday, US Navy secretary John Phelan left the Trump administration, marking another high-level departure in US security leadership amid the ongoing war with Iran.
