Luoyang is in peak peony season. The whole city is blooming. More than 600 varieties are now in full bloom. Red, pink, white, yellow – every shade of spring is here. From famous gardens to city streets, peonies are everywhere in this ancient capital. And the bloom is not over yet. Hundreds more varieties will open through early May. Home to over 1,400 peony varieties, Luoyang in Henan province truly lives up to its title: China's Peony Capital.
