At the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, Mozambican President Daniel Francisco Chapo paid a state visit to China from April 16 to 22. This marked his first visit to China since taking office. During his week-long stay, President Chapo visited Hunan Province, Qinghai Province and Beijing.
His visit started with Shaoshan in Hunan, the iconic birthplace of China's revolutionary heritage. He then traveled to Banyan Village in Huzhu Tu Autonomous County, followed by a visit to the Museum of the Communist Party of China in Beijing. President Chapo learned about efficient smart power solutions, China's achievements in poverty alleviation and rural revitalization, as well as its progress in infrastructure development.
