Rising out of the desert in Xinjiang, northwest China, Urho Ghost City – often called "Devil City" – is one of the country's most striking natural landscapes.

Located in the Urho District of Karamay, this national 5A-rated scenic area of China is famous for its vast fields of wind-sculpted rock formations, known as yardangs. Over thousands of years, relentless winds have carved the earth into towers, ridges, and corridors that resemble ruins of an ancient, abandoned city. It has been named by China National Geographic as one of the "three most beautiful yardang landscapes" in China.
