Researchers at Wuhan University of Technology's National Key Laboratory of Waterway Traffic Control have remotely controlled the smart new-energy cargo vessel Yujiaotou 001, which is operating on the Shaying River in central China about 500 kilometers away. The vessel is carrying out supervised autonomous navigation and remote-controlled cargo tests on a real inland route, as China pushes intelligent shipping from the lab toward commercial use.
