The fourth China (Anhui) Science and Technology Innovation Achievement Transformation Fair opened in Hefei, east China's Anhui Province, on Sunday.
At the opening ceremony, China Media Group (CMG) officially launched the 2026 China Science and Technology Innovation Gala, one of its flagship science communication programs.
Planned and produced by CMG's Social Education Program Center with participation from its Anhui station, the gala is jointly produced with Hefei City.
The gala will spotlight major technological breakthroughs of the year and combine science with artistic creativity to create a new model for celebrating innovation.
Its launch at the fair reflects cooperation between CMG, Anhui Province and Hefei City to help turn cutting-edge innovation from television spotlight into industrial application, promoting both science communication and the transformation of research achievements into real-world productivity.
During the opening ceremony, the gala also launched a global recruitment campaign titled "I Want to Be on the Gala," inviting innovators worldwide to participate.
The initiative aims to leverage CMG's communication reach and influence to support technology investment, commercialization of scientific achievements and the development of scientific talent and innovation-driven enterprises.
